Today I couldn't go to work. I just couldn't. Instead, I bought some Brooks running shorts (they're cuter when I'm wearing them):

And Balega socks:

Then, instead of weeding or studying Ruby or doing anything productive, I went to the grocery store, came home, and made myself an egg salad wrap.

 For the wrap:
1 flatbread wrap - 90 calories
1 large leaf lettuce - 0 calories
4 slices cucumber - 4 calories

 For the egg salad:
4 grams regular mayo- 29 calories
1 tsp calorie free mayo - 0 calories
1 tsp stone ground mustard - 10 calories
1 sprig fresh dill - 0 calories
1 sprig fresh parsley - 0 calories
2 tbsp chopped celery - 0 calories
pinch of salt pinch of pepper - 0 calories
1 whole hard-boiled egg - 77 calories
1 hard-boiled egg white - 17 calories

Total:
223 calories
19.4 grams protein
10 grams dietary fiber

It was so good! Halfway through making it, Max came bursting through the door covered in sweat, he'd had some kind of reaction to his contacts and his eyes were so red it looked like they were bleeding. Terrifying. I got him a damp rag and all he can do now is lie on his back on the couch. Should I feel guilty that I'm blogging instead of helping him?

...

Nah.

Oh and guess what the UPS guy just brought?

I'm so excited, even though I'm exhausted in the way you can only be if you've been doing nothing all day. Miriam is coming over when she gets off work and we are trying it out- the plan is to rotate is with No More Trouble Zones, which we've already been doing. I'm curious to see if I feel like I'm up to a run after doing this workout, the reviews say it's really tough.

“It is cruel to discover one's mediocrity only when it is too late.” ― W. Somerset Maugham, Of Human Bondage
